Executive Education HEC Montréal congratulates the first 22 participants in its certification in ethics and compliance program.
This program, developed in conjunction with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Hydro-Québec, is the only one in Quebec to train professionals and managers on the ethical and compliance dimensions of an organization. The Osler law firm is also a program partner.

The certification was created in 2019 thanks to Simon Denault, Director of Ethics and Compliance at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and Ginette Depelteau, Ethics and Compliance Expert: “I worked for 25 years as Senior Vice-President, Compliance, at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. There was no training available in Quebec to provide leaders with the tools to better manage ethics and compliance issues within organizations. With the cooperation of HEC Montréal’s Executive Education and several professors and high-level professionals in the field, my colleague Simon Denault and I developed a program that promotes best practices in these areas.”
Participants successfully completed four certification in ethics and compliance modules over eight days, as well as a one-day final simulation. Armed with their new knowledge, they will be able to teach their public or private organizations about ethical concepts across all management dimensions.
Congratulations to the 13 women and 9 men who made up this first Quebec cohort, and all the best for continued success!
